Technology!!!! Bah!

Okay so after many picture loading failed attempts I am frustrated and moving on for the day. Landon is now awake from his nap which is the only time I can get on here, and most the time I nap while he naps.... so needless to say there will be no post! I have not abandoned my posts.... Im still alive, just huge, tired and frustrated at modern "technology". So Ill post later!!!! :O)

Happy birthday dear Landon!

Landon will offically be two on July 31st but since the baby is due so close to then we decided to have his party early so that we did not have a new born or be having a new born during his party. We had it on the 12th and it was a blast. All of his friends and family came, The Booths, Guevarras, Leemans, Matthews, Ballards, Bennetts, Armstrongs, Stamps (of course I am going to forget someone, Im doing this so I remember years down the road and will of course leave someone out.... sorry!) Anyway, we did a BBQ and had a water party for the kids, we bought a little pool at Walmart and the kids had a blast in it. Landon still goes in it every day to play weither he is fully clothed or not. He was so happy when he blew out the candles on his cake and everyone cheered for him. It was such a precious face. He also loved everyone singing to him, he liked being in the spot light. :O) He likes to be by himself but he also loves lots of people, and he has no qualms about just mingling and doing his thing. He was not so sure about opening the presents. We got him a basketball hoop and when he woke up that morning it was wrapped and on the table and as soon as he saw it, "WOW" and ran in there to see it. He had a CARS birthday party and he named all the characters that were on the wrapping paper. He knew it was his party day because we kept talking about it. And when we opened the door and he saw his pool in the back yard he got excited and started jumping up and down. "Birthday, Birthday!" It was very sweet.
A friend of mine Kirsten and I made this CARS cake for Landon. I think it turned out really nice and it was so much fun having a friend there to help and to experiment together. Making Black frosting that was fun! :O) Thanks for your help Kirsten!!! I think we did a pretty good job. Only my second time ever making a cake, not to shabby.

Landon really enjoyed blowing out his two candles. He thought it was a lot of fun. My moms birthday was on the 20th and he helped her blow out her candles and really enjoyed it then too.

Daddy got in the pool with the kiddies, such a big kid himself. Landon loved it!
The next morning he had to wear his hat so he could eat cake. When he sees the Mater hats he says, "OKAY I EAT CAKE!!" and then we HAVE to wear the hat. Its rather funny, good thing the cake ran out fast. :O)

The Armstrongs got him this basketball hoop and he really enjoys playing with it as well. He is a great shot, see his follow through and the ball going in the basket. My future NBA star?

He got this card from his Grams and Pop Pop (Noahs grandparents) and was so excited to carry around the money. It was so nice and crisp till he got ahold of it and when mommy found it later it was all in a ball. Good thing crinkly money is still money. :O)
He had a blast in the pool and so did all of his friends. They really liked splashing and getting each other wet.

We got him to say "happy birthday" it was so cute and now he says it all the time. Yesterday at my moms party he said "Nana," and when she asked him what? he said "happy birthday." It was very cute that he knew it was her birthday and wanted to tell her himself. Such a good little boy.

I big brother!

For the past few weeks anytime anyone asks Landon what his name is he says, "I Big Brother!" We have been trying to tell him, yes you are going to BE a big brother, but thats not your name. Your NAME is Landon. He knows that his name. He likes to play a game where he will either yell "Aurie or Noah" or "Mommy or Daddy" and then we will yell Landon and he will yell either our name or our "rank" and we do this over and over till he is done, so we know he knows that Landon is his name. We ask him all day "Whats your name?" and every time with out fail, "I big brother!" and we just tell him over and over "say my name is Landon" and then he will say, "My name Landon." However as soon as we ask him his name is back to big brother. Hopefully that means he knows what that really means. :O)

Landon with his big boy shoes on. Being silly with daddies work boots. He loves to take them back to the room when Noah takes them off. He grabs one and says "Heavy!" over and over the whole way to the bed room then puts it in Noahs closet and comes back for the last one. Sometimes he will put them on and try to walk them back to the bedroom. The last picture he is trying to dance in them. We got a video of him dancing and falling and then getting back up and putting them back on just to make himself fall forward again on purpose. Its cute! But it takes forever to upload, so I am not putting it on here at this time, maybe later when I have more time to wait for it.

Fourth of July Fun!

We went to the park right behind our house for a carnival and free BBQ (any excuse to not cook is good for me.) Landon rode on a rocket that went around in circles, Noah rode that with him, poor daddy was WAY to big. He also got to go on a train that mommy rode with him....mommy is too big too. Then we came home put him to bed and Noah and I waited to watch the fire works which we got to see from our backyard. It was beautiful, I threw in two pictures of what we saw. I got a tun but I did not want to bore you with them. We were very blessed to be able to watch these from our yard. It was a nice experience.

Here is me. Fat and more Fat! :O) JK The baby has dropped so I feel like and look like I am carrying a watermelon for a child. I dont know why my kids drop so early, but they do and I get to carry them that low till they decide to come out. At least I know it will be within the next 30 days. YEAH count down is really underway.
Landon got a ballon at the carnival that he managed to deflat very fast and thought it was very funny to stick it between my nose and mouth. He died laughing every time.
Here he is chillin, waiting to get dressed and go buh bye. I thought it was cute the way he was holding his leg. He is so independent he just takes off and goes and does what he wants to do. He is a man on a mission thats for sure. I wanted to put in a pic from last year when he was just learning to walk, such a little man all wobbly and holding mommys hand. Now look at him go.
The rocket! With the too big daddy!
The train with the too big mommy!

At his beloved park. That was more fun for him then the rides. So easy to please.

We hope everyone had a blessed and safe fourth of July!!!
